Church of St. Nicholas Mokuri

Zaryadier, Moscow City (Central) Russia

[Russian Orthodox]

The red brick church was built around 1625 in the center of Zaryadier near the Kremlin. It was rebuilt in Gothic style in 1802. The church was demolished in 1932 to create space for a large building in the Ministry of Heavy Industries; that unfinished building was demolished and a large hotel built on the site. The hotel was demolished in 2006 and the site is now Zalladie Park.
