The three -in-one village church is dedicated to Saint Nicholas, Saint, Basil, and Taxiarchis. Taxiarchis is the name given to Archangels Michael or Gabriel, literally meaning "commander." Taxiarchis is one of the patron saints of the Greek Aegean and Dodecanesse islands. It is a common Greek baptismal name, Taxiarchis for boys or Taxiarchoula for girls.
