Zhyrovichy Belarus
Russian Orthodox
The monastery is once of the primary Orthodox centers in Belarus. It is also one of the largest architectural ensembles from the 17th - 18th centuries in the country. The monastery has four churches. St. (winter) Nicholas shares an entrance with the Holy Assumption Cathedral. St. Nicholas has an original stone floor, a low ceiling, and vault without arches, though there are arched openings. The church has been painted in 1854 and again in 1937. Patronal festivals are December 19 and May 22.
