Holy Monastery of Agios Nikolaos

The monastery is 24 km west of Kalambaka. It was destroyed by Germans in 1943, with the catholicon from 1807 was all that survived. The iconography is from 1821 and the woodcarved iconostas dates from 1815. It is also known as the Monastery Siamades. The church was restored from 2000-2006 and the monastery reopened in 2008. The new wing is almost on the foundations of the old buildings. The new abbot was enthroned in 2020.
