Church Website

The monastery dates from the 1700s. However, it was refounded in 1995 on the site of the reconstructed Church of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker. The original church was built in 1905 and closed and demolished in 1936. A wooden church was first built near a spring in 1751; it was replaced in 1793. The stone church was on the foundation of the wooden churches. Restoration of the church began in 1989, lasting until 1995 when the monastery was established. The church was expanded, adding two aisles in 2002. The monastery is a popular pilgrimage site with accounts of healings.
