St. Nicholas Church

Kharkiv / Kharkov Ukraine

Ukrainian Orthodox

The church was consecrated in 1900, taking the place of a wooden one. I had taken ten years to build the new church. During the Soviet time it was closed several times and used as a cinema and a granary. The central dome was removed. The bell tower was demolished in World War II. Services resumed in the 1960s. The church was restored beginning in the later 1990s and the church was reconsecrated in 2018.
