There had been a church here since 1378; at the beginning of the 19th century the church was renovated and the dedication made to St. Nicholas. This church was built in 1880 and the interior, altar and organ restored around 1900. During World War I Prussians melted the bells into cannon balls. Several renovations took place and i n the 1980s the floor and all doors were replaced. Later the belfry was renovated and the facade of the church secured and preserved. The last improvements were done in 2009-2011. The church is a registered object of cultural heritage.
