Wierzenica Poland
Roman Catholic
The church was founded in the 13th century and a church has been in this place since 1335 and named St. Nicholas since at least 1510. The present church was built in the 1500s on the site of an older one. The oldest part, the nave and presbytery, date from the 1589; the sacristy to 1635; and the tower from the 1770s. In the 1930s the nave was extended into the ground floor of the tower and the western porch was added in 1978. Renovation has been ongoing since 2000.
