The old wooden church was built from 1667-1669. It was built without a single nail and is a historical architectural monument. The bell tower dates from the same time. From 1946 - 1960 it was taken over by the Russian Orthodox Church. From 1960 - 1987 the church was closed. It was returned to the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church in 1990. The church was restored and the bell tower rebuilt with zinc sheets on the roof and new bells installed. Because of the age of the old church, a new one was built from 2002 to 2014. Liturgies are held in the old church twice a year.
