Bahmut Moldova

Moldovan Orthodox

The stone church was built in 1887, replacing the wooden 1809 church. Soviet authorities closed the church in 1954. It was used as a chemical warehouse and then as a stable during the next 38 years. It reopened in 1992, repaired, renovated, and re-consecrated.
