The parish, St Michael & St Nicholas Hetton Lyons with Eppleton, was formed from St Michael & All Angels, Hetton Lyons, St Nicholas, Hetton-le-Hole, and All Saints, Eppleton. The church was originally the Hetton Lyons St. Michael and is on Easington Lane. The parish uses the old St Nicholas Hall in Hetton-le-Hole.
