The church has been built three times: 1300s, 1842-1847, 1901-1012. It was consecrated in 1848 and burned down in 1872, laying in ruins until 1901. The church is in the Koltuk neighborhood and the main parish church in the Fourth Tetovo Parish. It originally belonged to a monastery and at one time it was so small that only 4-5 people could be inside. A new facade and windows wer installed in 1995.
