Church of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker

Košice (Kožuchovce) Slovakia

[Greek Catholic (Byzantine)

The church was built in 1441 as a branch church in Kožuchovce. The National Cultural Monument was transferred to the Eastern Slovak Museum in Košice in 1927. It has three parts with three towers and is a simple log structure. Each part has an onion dome. The interior wall frescoes were damaged during renovations in the 1970s. The church does not have an iconostas and other liturgical items so it does not serve liturgical functions.
