Trier / Mitte-Gartenfeld Germany
[Roman Catholic}
A chapel here was first mentioned in 1274 in connection with the Saint Nicholas Hospital that housed elderly single women from the area. This chapel was built in 1761 and adjoins the former hospital building, including the former monastery wall on the north side. Following secularization in 1802 the chapel and part of the hospital were added to a house. The chapel was renovated in 1994 when the property was converted. The ground floor is still used as a sacred space.
