The first church in Einruhr was built in 1749 and was elevated to parish status in 1864. The present church was built from 1909-1910 and consecrated in 1911. The old church survived, but destroyed in 1945. The new church, severely damaged in World War II, had just the tower and nave walls left. The rebuilt church was consecrated in 1950. The sacristy was expanded in 1980 and the whole church renovated in the mid-1980s.
