The exhibit tells St. Nicholas story. Many unique and museum quality artifacts illustrate his life, his relationship to Christian tradition, and St. Nicholas-related customs around the world.
The exhibit is fun, festive, and educational for all ages. Hands-on activities engage both adults and children. Items of special interest to children are found throughout the exhibit.

With rich artifacts from around the world discover St. Nicholas around the world in both Eastern and Western faith traditions and popular celebrations. Featured countries include the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, France, Switzerland, Austria, the Czech Republic, Italy, Spain, Malta, and more.

Explore the saint in the US and England. See how the image has morphed into contemporary Santa Claus and Nicholas' continuing influence on US Christmas customs.
Saint Nicholas always points to the Child in Bethlehem, as he lived his faith with a life devoted to God and neighbor. His care for those in need is a model for life today—working for justice for all God's children throughout the world.
A special case features St. Nicholas in Ukraine with icons made of amber, straw, and beads, figures, children's books, and more. This case is not static; it will change from time to time, offering a more in depth exploration of various aspects of the saint.

The exhibit is open to the public year around whenever the seminary is open. Those who love St. Nicholas and those who wonder about St. Nicholas may come to learn more about this wonderful saint.

The St. Nicholas Exhibit was part of the October VTS Bicentennial Celebration. It was dedicated by the Bishop of Virginia Mark Stevenson on December 17, 2023.
