Press Release

A new programs at __________________ Church in _______________ will help answer little ones' questions about the origin of Santa Claus.

____________________________ Church, address, will host a St. Nicholas exhibit from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Nov. 30 to Dec. 5. Displays include photos, icons, St. Nicholas traditions in other countries and hands-on activities for children of all ages, all provided by the St. Nicholas Center in Holland, Mich.

Sixteen story boards give background to the saint, his life story, stories and legends, and show how he has influenced faith traditions and customs around the world. St. Nicholas' development into American Santa Claus is also included, and the saint is held up as an example for living.

Activities include a three-minute introductory video, PowerPoint: And Now We Call Him Santa Claus, wood-mounted puzzles, paper miter-folding with instructions and three rubbing plates: St. Nicholas gives gold to rescue three young women, St. Nicholas visits a family and St. Nicholas is the patron saint of children.

ST. NICHOLAS DINNER | Place

______________________________ Church will have a St. Nicholas Dinner, celebrating the patron saint of children, sailors and those in need, beginning at 5 p.m. Dec. 6 in the ___________________________, location. A Prime Rib/Turkey Breast entree will be served. Vegan selections can be arranged. Joyous seasonal music will be provided by the ______________________. Our honored Advent Saint will share his story. To honor St. Nicholas, new hats, scarves, mittens and gloves as well as board games and books will be collected to distribute to children throughout the area.
