Rescuing St. Nicholas!

Some in Flemish Belgium also wanted to keep Santa away until after December 6th. In 1994 the Sint-Nicolaas Genootschap (St. Nicholas Society) placed a signboard at the entrance to the town of Sint-Niklaas, Flanders, making it clear that Santa was only welcome after 6 December.
