Miracles at Danbury, Connecticut
On June 29th, 2013, fire completely destroyed Saint Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church in Danbury, Connecticut. However, three miracles happened.

First Miracle
When the church burned the flaming roof collapsed onto the altar. The tabernacle which was just a brass box was melted. The fire was so hot the key actually melted on the altar. Three days after the fire, we were able to carry the mangled tabernacle out over the rubble. We set it on a table and were able to get it open by forcing it with a spare key. When we opened it, the Chalice with the Eucharist was perfectly erect and centered. The inside was lined with white silk and the silk was snow white and completely untouched. We were amazed. We consumed the Eucharist.
Then we went into a discussion on how to rebuild. Literally one hour later I went back out to the barn where we had placed the tabernacle. Now that Christ had been removed since we had consumed the Eucharist, the whole inside had turned black and the white silk was not burned, but was completely spotted and blackened. The tabernacle was not a fire proof box, it was just a brass container. Truly a sign that Christ was there at St. Nicholas Church before, during and after the fire.
Second Miracle
The next miracle was a wooden cross that had a wooden painted corpus on it. The cross itself was completely burned and charred. The wood with the painted corpse was untouched.

Third Miracle
The third, a wooden carved statue of St. Nicholas and his relic survived. It remained standing while everything else around was burned and a pile of rubble. My son (named "Nicholas") who was the first baby baptized in the church was the one who carried out the untouched statue of St. Nicholas and his relic.
