Plant a St. Nicholas Wheat Garden

Plant a wheat garden in memory of St. Nicholas who provided grain during famine and always showed concern for the poor and hungry.

Put the grain seed in a pie plate and water with God's good water. Place where the dish where it will get sunlight. Be careful not to overwater. If planted on St. Nicholas Day it will be growing nicely by Christmas.

A white votive candle may be placed in the garden on Christmas Eve showing that the Christ, to whom St. Nicholas points, comes into the world at Christmas. The grain reminds us that Jesus is the Bread of Life.
