Saint Nicholas Rosary
![]() |
The custom of praying the rosary has proven of great value in the lives of Christians throughout the ages. In some traditions the recitation of the rosary involves meditation on the life of Jesus and the Blessed Virgin Mary. Prayers are said including the traditional "Hail Mary" or in some places the "Jesus Prayer."
This rosary focuses on prayer to Christ in fellowship with St Nicholas, Bishop of Myra, Saint in Bari, Patron saint of children and sailors. His feast day is 6 December and is revered universally as the true Santa Claus and Father Christmas.
Using the traditional five-decade rosary, one may wish to devote the entire time of prayer to one intention or to remember individual people, needs and thanksgivings on each bead of each decade of the prayers.
BELOVED, let us love one another, for love is of God . . . . I John 4

St Nicholas was a defender of the historic faith and was said to be present at the Council of Nicaea in AD 325. So, still holding the cross, continue
We believe in one God,
the Father, the Almighty,
maker of heaven and earth,
of all that is, seen and unseen.
We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ,
the only Son of God,
eternally begotten of the Father,
God from God, Light from Light,
true God from true God,
begotten, not made,
of one Being with the Father.
Through him all things were made.
For us and for our salvation
he came down from heaven:
by the power of the Holy Spirit
he became incarnate from the Virgin Mary,
and was made man.
For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate;
he suffered death and was buried.
On the third day he rose again
in accordance with the Scriptures;
he ascended into heaven
and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead,
and his kingdom will have no end.
We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life,
who proceeds from the Father and the Son.
With the Father and the Son he is worshiped and glorified.
He has spoken through the Prophets.
We believe in one holy catholic and apostolic Church.
We acknowledge one baptism for the forgiveness of sins.
We look for the resurrection of the dead,
and (+) the life of the world to come. Amen.
The Lord's Prayer

Our Father, Who art in heaven,
Hallowed be Thy Name. Thy Kingdom come.
Thy Will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven.

And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom, and the power and the glory,
forever and ever. Amen.
