Prayers for the Administration of Saint Nicholas Manna to the Sick
In the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.
Amen.
Our help is in the name of the Lord.
Who made heaven and earth.
Lord, hear our prayer.
And listen to our cry through the intercession of Saint Nicholas.
Let us pray.
Almighty and eternal God, in your infinite mercy, you offered, through Jesus Christ, marvelous signs of your kindness to sustain our faith and to comfort us from our infirmities. You have worked and continue each day to work numerous wonders before the tomb of your servant Nicholas, from which come the liquid of the manna, as a sign of your kindness and fatherly care. We thank you for this extraordinary favor.
Now we beseech you to increase above all our faith and to listen to our supplication which we raise to you for (Name . . . ) who implores you to grant the grace of being free from his/her sickness. May the santa manna of Saint Nicholas, which will be administered jay be, if you will, the water of the pool of Siloam with which Christ restored sight of the man born blind, restoring his sight and at the same time giving him the light of faith.
We place our hope in you. Grant what we ask, poor sinners as we are, through the great merits and the powerful intercession of St. Nicholas. We ask you this through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Amen.
And now, as our Lord has taught us, we are bold to say, asking the health of the body and the spirit:
Our Father . . . ,
Hail Mary . . . ,
Gloria to the Father . . . ,
Saint Nicholas, pray for us.
(The person who is ill may drink the manna or it could be applied to the sick part of the body.)
Concluding Prayer
Eternal and omnipotent God, you desire to give us the protection of glorious Saint Nicholas, who is in the light of your divine presence. Look on us with mercy. Grant us help and receive our thanksgiving for the opportunity to present our spiritual and temporal needs.
Remember your Church, its people and its pastors, so it may be illuminated by your truth and set afire by your love.
Convert, by the intercession of our Patron Saint, those who live in the darkness of ignorance and error.
Console the sick, supply the needy, comfort the afraid, defend the oppressed, strengthen the weak, so that we experience the support of Saint Nicholas, who is near you, the supreme giver of ever good. Through Christ our Lord.
Amen.
May the Lord bless us, preserve us from all evil and lead us to eternal life.
Amen.
