Mar del Plata
The consecration of the first Orthodox monument to Saint Nicholas in the Southern Hemisphere took place in 2016. Donated by the Charitable Foundation of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker, it is in front of the Royal Martyrs Orthodox Church (Parroquia Los Martires Reales) in Mar del Plata. Smaller than the monuments iin Russia, it was the sixth monument installed outside Russia.
