St. Nicholas Monuments in Belarus

In Belarus December 6th, Winter Mikola, signifies the date on which horses are kept inside for the winter. Summer Mikola is celebrated May 9th.

Minsk

The statue of St. Nicolaas was placed by the Russian Saint Nicholas the Wonderworker Charitable Foundation at the Saint Nicholas the Wonderworker Church, Sokol district, Minsk, in 2010.

Polotsk

The St. Nicholas statue, by sculptor S. Isakov, was placed by the Russian Saint Nicholas the Wonderworker Charitable Foundation in 2009. It is in honor of Holy Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Kirill's visit to Polotsk. It is at the intersection of Euphrosyne and Cosmonauts streets, near St. Euphrosyne Convent.
