Mike and Molly and Baby at Advent

December 12

Luke 1:26–31

Cartoon

God used Mary to bless the world. Christmas is a time for sharing blessings with other people. How sad and empty Christmas would be if we couldn't be like Mary and bless other people. Have you ever thought that when we say "Merry Christmas," we're offering a blessing, a prayer for real happiness to another person?

Tune: Greensleeves

What child is this, who, laid to rest,
On Mary's lap is sleeping?
Whom angels greet with anthems sweet,
While shepherds watch are keeping?
This, this is Christ the King,
Whom shepherds guard and angels sing;
Haste, haste to bring him laud,
The Babe, the son of Mary.
