Luke 1:1–4

How marvelous that Luke and others thought to write down the events leading up to and including Christmas. Otherwise probably we never would know about Mary and Joseph, the stable, the shepherds, the star of Bethlehem. We call the book that tells us all about how God has dealt with people, The Bible. We should read the Bible regularly, but especially at Christmas.

Tune: It Came Upon the Midnight Clear

It came upon the midnight clear,
That glorious song of old,
From angels bending near the earth
To touch their harps of gold:
"Peace on the earth, good will to men,
From heaven's all-gracious King!"
The world in solemn stillness lay
To hear the angels sing.
