Mike and Molly and Baby at Advent
December 4
John 1:4,5

Advent wreaths are particularly helpful in preparing us for Christmas. The lit candle reminds us that Jesus is the Light of the World. The greens are a sign of life. The fact that the wreath is in a circle reminds us that God is eternal. Remember that if you are using an Advent wreath you should light a second candle on the second of the four Sundays before Christmas.
Tune: It Came Upon the Midnight Clear
For lo! the days are hastening on,
By prophet-bards foretold,
When, with the ever-circling years,
Shall come the Age of Gold;
When peace shall over all the earth
Its heavenly splendors fling,
And all the world give back the song
Which now the angels sing.
